For 20 years, Ügetőszilveszter (New Year’s Eve with Trotters) is the most popular outdoors event not just in Kincsem Park, but in Budapest as well, for New Year’s Eve.
Two entire decades ago, we decided to have a vast party at the races to say good bye to the year behind us. The first guests were mostly university student, who were thrown away by the fantastic atmosphere and immediately became racing fans and regular guests. Last year an enormous number of twenty-thousand people came to see the final races of the calendar. It has become an urban tradition to start the festivities in Kincsem Park, huge crowds tune up for the night with punting, dancing, lots of laughter and and needless to say, champagne. Superb trotters and the most excellent greyhounds are awaiting our visitors, alongside with DJ Smash in the heated marquee. Delicious food is served in Panoráma Restaurant and provided by the magnificent team of Food Truck Show Hungary. Do not miss the grandest party in town!
