On this evening, the Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir will be joined by MDR Children’s Choir to take a musical trip to “the capital of classical music” Vienna. The event will feature not only works by the most famous composers associated with Vienna, including Anton Bruckner, Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven, but also a few motets by Andreas Rauch, a Baroque composer who later also worked in Sopron (Hungary). The concert will pay special attention to Franz Schubert’s cheerful choral works conjuring summer evenings. And the audience certainly cannot say goodbye to Vienna without listening to Johann Strauss’ most famous waltz.
