The ten-year-old Three Princes and Three Princesses Movement is like a big family united not by a family tree, but by their common goals. They are the same kind of everyday people as the average opera or ballet fan, or perhaps like their neighbours. They put their hearts and spirits into making sure that there will be as many more little princes and princesses as possible running around in the playgrounds, parks and gardens – to put it simply – around us, where we live in the heart of of the Carpathian Basin. They have organised an entire movement around Hungary’s foremost common objective, so that wanted and planned children can be born. Their founder, the late Prof. Mária Kopp, built her entire life and career around the subject of the family: for her, life and work were inseparable from each other, and it was precisely her tireless emphasis on the subject of the family that connected her professional calling to her private life. For the Hungarian State Opera, it is a great honour to join forces with another non-profit organisation, not to mention one engaged in this most important of causes, using the modest means we have at our disposal to help make sure that the audience of the future is born by organising an Advent-season benefit gala with the active and selfless involvement of our artists, as well as a unique opera programme that specifically addresses the relationship between children and parents.

Our offer

Giacomo Puccini LA BOHÈME Opera in four acts, in Italian, with Hungarian, English, and Italian subtitles

The idea for The Nutcracker ballet came from theone-time director of the Tsarist theatre who, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale entitled the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, wanted to stage a fairy tale ballet that would surpass all that had gone before, both in sound and in spectacle. Tchaikovsky was asked to compose the music and after Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty his third and final ballet was also a great success. It was the six-movement suite of the music of The Nutcracker that was first performed in March 1892, and in December of the same year the spectacularly presented theatrical work was also performed. The Nutcracker has become the most frequently played ballet piece of all time.

A Szentpétervári Balett Társulat valamint a Bolsoj Színház művészeivel autentikus előadásban indul országos turnéra Csajkovszkij Diótörője. A zenei élményről a Kodály Filharmonikusok gondoskodik Somogyi-Tóth Dániel karmester irányításával. Az előadás - mely a 130 éves baletthagyományokra épül - egyszerre ünnepi, friss és magával ragadó, gyerekeknek és felnőtteknek egyaránt felejthetetlen élményt ígér.
