Andrea Vigh (harp), János Balázs (piano)

The MVM Concerts series originally started with the aim of bringing world-famous pianists to appear in front of Budapest audiences. However, over the years the profile has broadened considerably: today, concertgoers not only enjoy events representing the original purpose, but also instrument-presentation concerts, programmes picked from the Gödöllő International Harp Festival, and even recitals by Junior Prima Prize young artists: these events are organized at several venues in the capital and at others around the country. This year the concerts are crowned by a special event focusing on two instruments, the harp and the piano. The former is played by Liszt Prize-laureate Andrea Vigh, president of the Liszt Academy and head of department teaching harpist students, while the piano is ably ‘steered’ by Junior Prima and Liszt Prize-pianist János Balázs, artistic director of the Cziffra Festival.

Our offer

After the February concert, in May the BFO will perform two more of Brahms' Hungarian Dances, a challenging concerto, and a symphony that traverses the depths of the musical landscape.

Az előadás a műfajtól megszokott módon nincs híján humornak, játékosságnak, A mosoly országa a kibékíthetetlen világnézeti ellentétek, kulturális és társadalmi különbségek komoly kérdéseit járja körül, és ez a világ első operettje, mely nem vidám végkifejlettel zárul.

The famous symphony orchestra "Lords of the Sound" presents the musical program "The Music of Hans Zimmer", which encompasses the most famous compositions of the musical genius of our time, Hans Zimmer!
