Kristóf Bacsó Triad feat. Daniele Camarda: Imaginary Faces – BMC Records album debut (HU/IT)

Featuring:
Kristóf Bacsó - saxophone
Márton Juhász - drums
Áron Tálas - piano, Fender Rhodes
Daniele Camarda - bass guitar

Saxophonist-composer Kristóf Bacsó occasionally extends his musical field of vision with guest musicians, as was the case when he last recorded an album with guitarist Lionel Loueke on BMC Records entitled Pannon Blue, creating a fusion of Hungarian-focused contemporary jazz and improvisational music fueled by West African influences. And so it is now when the Bacsó Kristóf Triad presents their last album featuring Kristóf's old friend, the Italian bassist Daniele Camarda, just released on BMC Records. Daniele himself is one of the frontier-breakers, as he doesn't use the bass guitar in the usual way, but expands its possibilities by playing on seven strings, allowing it to sound like a solo guitar. The use of electronics, already prominent on Bacsó's previous album, Pannon Blue, opens the door to a further change of dimension. At this concert, we can hear the material of his recent album, Imaginary Faces, which draws on his experiences of the last two years, and is deeply influenced by piano literature, including Erik Satie’s work.

Kristóf Bacsó has released four albums in recent years, on which his compositions have been performed in an enjoyable orchestration by his trio, quartet, quintet or the Modern Art Orchestra, of which he is one of the founders and key members. Of all these bands, however, he considers his very own Triad as his child, in which one of his partners on the keyboards is Artisjus Award-winning Áron Tálas, who, in addition to the piano, also touches the Fender Rhodes piano and other electronic tones with great originality. The third member of the band is drummer Márton Juhász, who has now become an active participant not only in Hungarian, but also in the European jazz scene. Triad’s music mixes elements of jazz and contemporary music with a typically Eastern European sense of life. In addition to the carefully composed parts, joint improvisations play an important role in this musical world.

Table reservations are automatically added during ticket purchase.
