An overview of the half-century career of Zsófia Balla and her work at the forefront of contemporary Hungarian lyric poetry promises to be a true celebration of the art. Born in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár) and originally trained as a violinist, she became one of the central figures in Transylvania's Hungarian literary and intellectual scene before moving to Hungary in 1993.

In addition to singing the title role in Tosca, Lise Davidsen, one of the biggest stars of the Met's 2024/25 season, will also appear in the series of worldwide broadcasts as the husband-liberator Leonore in Fidelio.

French music - just like French cuisine - is known for its refinement, its perfect harmony of flavours and colours, and the attention to details. A true gourmet's delight.
