Az öröm azonban nem tart sokáig, mivel a nyertes szelvényt a szerencsés férfiak a helyi bordélyházban vásárolták, ez a körülmény pedig még véletlenül sem juthat asszonyaik tudomására. Kezdetét veszi a bonyodalom.
